About Me

      • I attended Kent State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1991, followed by a Masters of Education degree in Developmentally Handicapped in 1993. Throughout the years, I took additional classwork in Applied Behavior Analysis and in 2021 I completed the certificate program from the Dyslexia Training Institute in San Diego to become a Certified Dyslexia Tutor.


      • For the past 27 years, I have worked in the schools as an Intervention Specialist for children from preschool through 7th grade.


    • Experienced with systematic, structured reading instruction using the Wilson Reading Program and Orton-Gillingham approach to reach struggling readers at their level to build confidence and consistency before advancing to the next level of instruction.


      • Early childhood is the ideal time to identify dyslexia and begin reading intervention, yet it’s never too late to learn !


      • I can assist ALL struggling readers, either with or without an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
